Pre-Installation Checklist
 

This page contains important information relating to the installation of your new cooker. Please read it carefully.

To ensure our engineer can connect your new cooker quickly and safely, there are a few things you should check before they arrive.

Please note that we provide a connection-only service. Our engineer will not be able to carry out any additional remedial work.

If our engineer arrives and the installation requirements have not been met, they may be unable to complete the installation and you may still be charged.

Things to Check:
 

Your Old Cooker

If you have requested disconnection of your existing cooker, our engineer will take care of this for you. Otherwise, please ensure your old cooker has been disconnected before our engineer arrives.
 

Space and Access

It is important to double-check the available space in your kitchen to ensure your new cooker will fit correctly and that there is clear access for our engineer to move it safely into position.
 

Connections

Our engineer will provide the cables or hoses required to connect your cooker. However, it is very important that you check your home's existing electrical or gas connections are suitable for the cooker you have purchased.

If you are unsure whether your existing connections are suitable, please consult a qualified professional before installation.
 

The Hot Zone

There are specific areas around your cooker that must be kept clear of combustible materials. This includes anything flammable or not heat-resistant, such as cooker hoods, wooden panelling, wooden shelves, window sills, cupboards, wallpaper, blinds, curtains, plastic trunking, electrical sockets and switches.

Ventilation

The room where your cooker is being installed must have either a door or a window that can be opened directly to the outside.
