Baked Bananas


This baked banana recipe was made for the warmer weather. Fun and delicious, getting your '5 a day' has never looked so good!

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200°C. Layout 4 squares of foil.
  2. Cut each banana lengthways with the skin on, ensuring you don’t cut all the way through.
  3. Sprinkle the broken chocolate and marshmallows over the top of each banana. You can also add a small amount of rum for an extra treat. 
  4. Fold the foil over each banana to make a package, ensuring there’s a slight gap for air to circulate while cooking.
  5. Once cooked, open the foil carefully as there will be a lot of steam released.
  6. Add some whipped cream onto your banana for extra decadence and enjoy straight from the foil.

  • 4 bananas, whole and unpeeled

  • 200g chocolate, broken

  • Handful of mini marshmallows

  • Rum

  • Whipped cream
