Dorothy Goodman School
Leicestershire-based Dorothy Goodman School, which caters for pupils with additional learning needs between the ages of three and 19, won first prize in the Stoves Community Kitchens competition.
The school's £5,000 prize allowed it to completely update the cookery room located at its Lower School, with the addition of a full-size Stoves induction range cooker plus a number of built-in and freestanding cookers.
Liam Deacy, Fundraising Manager at Dorothy Goodman School, said: "Currently only around 7% of young people with a learning disability go onto part-time or full-time employment, winning the Stoves equipment allowed us to offer a wider range of opportunities and experiences to our catering pathway students in their pursuit of a career within the catering industry"
