The smell and smoke is from the protective
coating of oil used during the manufacturing process. We recommend that the
oven interior and furniture, shelves etc. are cleaned thoroughly with hot soapy
water; wipe dry then heat the oven to maximum and leave on for 20 minutes, to
ensure all oil is removed.
