Ovens

Multifunction Ovens

The ultimate in cooking flexibility. As the name suggests, with a multifunction oven you can select from a number of cooking functions to provide the ideal combination of fanned and convected heat depending on the dish.

Genus

Genus is quite simply the ultimate cooking machine. For starters, it's an excellent multifunction cooker in its own right, with scores of features such as fully interactive touch controls and 16 functions enabling you to cook your food to your exact taste. What makes Genus a genuine revolution, is its ability to not only produce perfect results, but also the option to do so up to four times faster! Unlike any other cooker, Genus works by combining conventional cooking methods with revolutionary heating technology. Put simply, food is cooked more evenly, consistently and with much greater efficiency without any compromise to the end results.

Rotostar System

A revolution in gas cooking technology from Stoves. Rotostar’s burner head and fan provide a unique combination of radiant and convected heat. By fusing the even cooking temperature of a fanned oven with the moist cooking environment of a gas oven, you achieve the perfect cooking environment for excellent results every time.

Electric Conventional Oven

In a conventional electric oven, heat comes from the elements at the top and base of the oven. Heat rises, so the oven is cooler at the bottom and hotter at the top. This is ideal for traditional roasting. The meat is placed in the middle of the oven, roast potatoes towards the top and puddings towards the base.

Electric Fanned Oven

Fanned electric ovens have a heat source around the fan. Heat is circulated around the cavity by the fan, giving an even temperature throughout the oven. This function is suitable for batch baking, or batch cooking foods.

Electric Fan Assisted Oven

Heat comes from the top element and is circulated by the fan. Ideal for baking single items, such as lasagne.

Fan Defrost

The oven fan assists defrosting by circulating air around the food. Ideal for delicate frozen foods such as cream gateaux and cheesecakes.

Intensive Bake

The oven is heated by top and bottom elements and the fan mounted in the back panel helps to distribute heat throughout the oven. Suitable for food with a high moisture content, such as quiche, bread and cheesecake. It also eliminates the need for baking pastry blind.

Top Heat Only

Ideal for browning foods such as rice pudding, lasagne or cauliflower cheese, as the heat is not as fierce as a grill. Use this function towards the end of cooking.

Base Heat Only

This setting allows you to cook the bottom of pizzas, flans or pastries without drying out the topping.

Zoned Heat Gas Oven

In a 'zoned heat' or 'conventional' gas oven, heat rises from the burner at the rear of the oven base. This creates zones of heat, where the oven is cooler at the bottom and hotter at the top.

Slow Cook

Some of Stoves Range cookers feature a slow cook oven perfect for food such as casseroles, stews and curries.

Grills

Gas Grill

A gas fuelled grill is a standard feature on many gas appliances.

Electric Grill

Grilling can often be adjusted by selecting a higher or lower shelf or trivet position.

Electric Variable Grill

Grilling temperature can be altered by selecting a high or low setting.

Electric Fanned Grill

An electric grill where heat from the elements is circulated by the fan meaning there is no need to turn food like sausages and bacon.

Dual Circuit Grills

A feature you’ll find on high specification electric and dual fuel cookers, this enables you to tailor the grilling power to suit your requirements. There’s an economy setting for smaller amounts and a full grill setting for larger quantities. As the temperature of the grill is also variable, you can use a low setting when you want to be gentle and a high setting when you don’t.

Hobs

Induction Hobs

Induction hobs combine the best benefits of gas and ceramic. They power up instantly and switch off immediately making them controllable and energy efficient, like gas. Yet, like ceramic they have smooth, flat, easy-clean and stylish surfaces.

Ceramic/Halogen Hobs

Ceramic hobs offer the sleek and easy to clean solution. Many of our ceramic hobs also have the advantage of touch controls and digital displays.

Sealed Plate Electric Hobs

Sealed plate electric hobs offer a more traditional yet still very effective way of cooking. The positioning of the element within the plate means that heat is always distributed evenly across the whole area.

Gas Hobs

With ergonomically designed, easy to use controls our gas hobs give you the flexibility to adjust the heat with the precision you require. The variety of hob sizes enables you to cook efficiently and selected hobs also feature a wok burner for those rapid cook and stir fry meals.
